Remove Road Salt in Minutes

No shop visit, no expensive detail job — just spray, rinse, and protect.

You already know that salt is corrosive to your vehicle. You also know it's that time of year where it's virtually impossible to drive anywhere without getting covered in it.

Salts Gone® is an instantly acting chelating agent for salt/brine. There are 3 primary components to it:

  1. Chelating agents for the various forms of salt.
  2. Corrosion inhibitors to prevent future salt from causing further damage.
  3. Surfactant (soap)

Salts Gone® is:

PH Neutral

  • This means it's safe on any material you would find on a vehicle, including metals, glass, paint, ceramic coatings, wax, vinyl wraps, etc.

Highly concentrated

  • Each gallon makes one hundred gallons of finished solution (1:100)

Can be applied with or without running water

  • Running water: Hose end sprayers, injector boxes, pressure washers
  • No running water: Pump sprayers, battery operated sprayers

Salts Gone® does not emulsify oil

  • This means it's safe to use with any undercoating product.

Salts Gone FAQs

Most customers cut their cleanup time by 60–80%. What used to take 20–30 minutes now takes just 5–10 minutes with Salts Gone®. Spray it on, rinse it off, no scrubbing required.

A good rule of thumb: if the surface can safely get wet, it’s safe for Salts Gone®.

Use it without worry on:

Metals, glass, paint, ceramic coatings, wax, vinyl wraps, carpets, etc.

No, just attach the Hose End Sprayer to a garden hose and spray. If you don’t have a hose available, you can use a simple pump sprayer diluted at 1:100.

Yes. Spray the undercarriage directly with the Hose End Sprayer or pump sprayer. It’s one of the most important areas to protect.

For simple salt removal, no scrubbing is needed. Just spray and rinse.
For heavy dirt or grime, a quick brush or sponge may help activate the built-in surfactants.

Usually not. Salts Gone® contains surfactants (soap), so most people replace their car wash with it. If there is lots of dirt/grime, you'll want to use a brush or some form of agitation to get it off.

One 32 oz Hose End Sprayer produces up to 25 gallons of ready-to-use solution. That's enough to treat a 24-foot bay boat around 4–6 times or a pickup truck around 5–7 times, depending on coverage and conditions.

Salts Gone is meant to be used on an "as needed" basis. For maximum protection, apply Salts Gone® after each exposure to salt or brine. At minimum, we recommend once a week during heavy winter treatment periods. Depending on how often you drive and local conditions, you may need to treat more frequently — or get by with less.

No, Salts Gone® was specifically designed not to emulsify oil, making it safe on lubricated parts or with undercoatings.

Water only moves salt, it doesn't eliminate it.
Salts Gone® breaks the chemical bond of salt on contact and leaves corrosion inhibitors behind. Rinsing alone just pushes salt into tight spaces where rust thrives.

Yes, Salts Gone® is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and non-hazardous.

Not if you're using our Hose End Sprayer. It does the mixing for you.
If you're using a pump sprayer or injector, dilute at a 1:100 ratio (that’s 1.28 oz per gallon of water).

Salts Gone® is not designed to remove rust. However, many users report that soaking lightly rusted parts in undiluted concentrate can help lift surface rust thanks to the corrosion inhibitors.
